John Harrison

John has held the role of IT Director or CIO in a number of Plcs and private equity owned organisations. As Group IT Director for Pentland Group Plc in the 90s, John led the standardisation of systems across the Group in Europe, the US and Asia and helped support significant revenue increase during a period of intensive acquisition and organic growth.

As the IT Director for Burger King Europe, he successfully directed the implementation of SAP and replacement EPOS systems using shared corporate solutions and services within Burger King Corporation and Diageo.

In Spirit Group, the largest managed pub company in the UK, John significantly reduced IT and telecommunications costs despite inheriting fixed contracts with major outsourcing organisations.

Since founding Harrison McCann in 2004, John has operated as an Interim CIO for a number of organisations including Florimex International in the Netherlands, one of the largest Flower Distributors in the world.

He has extensive knowledge of real world business systems implementation particularly in Retail, Hospitality and Distribution organisations, in both consulting and IT management roles.

John has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of York.
